Tint treats your track as a light and a second sound as a colored glass held in front of it. It splits your track into up to 48 bands and gives each band the level the color has at the same place, live and with no latency: a drum loop that talks like a voice, a boat engine through a dirty saw wave, a pad lit by wind chimes.
The color comes from twelve built-in sounds synthesized inside Tint, from any audio file you drop on the window, from a capture of what is playing, or live from the sidechain like a vocoder. Switch KEYS on and play MIDI notes: the bands tune to the harmonics of each note, up to eight at once, so any sound, even noise, comes out pitched in the color's tone.

How does Tint work exactly?
Every control, then the three steps.
- COLOR – Twelve built-in colors (saw, choir, talking vowels, chimes, bells, brass, strings, organ, breath, rain, engine, wobble), your own file, a capture or the sidechain.
- IMPRINT – How much of the color's spectral shape is printed on your track.
- FLATTEN – Removes your track's own tone first, so the color replaces it instead of adding to it.
- DYNAMICS – Lets the color's level open and close the sound, from none to a full vocoder gate, at the same average level.
- SHIFT – Moves the color's formants up or down by up to an octave without changing the pitch.
- BANDS – 8 to 48 bands, spread in pitch or tuned to the harmonics of a note, with three slopes and adjustable width.
- KEYS – Play up to eight MIDI notes: each one tunes its own filter bank, so your track sings the chord.
- Insert Tint on any track and press play: the default preset gives it the color of a dirty saw wave.
- Pick another color with the arrows, or drag your own sound onto the window.
- Turn IMPRINT and FLATTEN, or switch KEYS on and play notes from a MIDI track.

Do I need to load samples?
No. Twelve colors are built in and synthesized by Tint itself. You can also drop any WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3, capture up to ten seconds of what is playing, or use the sidechain.
Does it add latency?
No. Tint works with filter banks, not with FFT frames, so it adds no latency at all and can be played live.
Can it work as a vocoder?
Yes. Route a voice to Tint's sidechain, put Tint on a synth or a pad and raise DYNAMICS: the voice shapes the synth band by band.
How do I play notes?
Switch KEYS on and send MIDI to Tint from a MIDI track (in Logic, choose the MIDI source in the plugin header). Each note, up to eight, gets its own bank tuned to it.
Which formats and systems?
Mac: VST3 and AU on macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows: VST3 on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). AAX for Pro Tools is not available yet.
How does the licence work?
A licence key is emailed right after purchase. Paste it in the plugin (or in the free TuneDrip Hub for macOS and Windows, which on Windows also installs the plugin) and click Activate: one internet connection, then the plugin works offline. Each key activates up to 3 computers; write to info@tunedrip.com to reset them.
