A Sample Flipper: Your Loop Cut on the Grid, Played in a New Order, One Press at a Time.
Riffle cuts the loop playing on your track into slices on your song's grid and plays them back in a new order. Press FLIP and you hear another version on the next slice, always in time, with no latency. Every flip has a number saved with your project, so you can step back to the one you liked.
When a slice lands in the right place, click it on the screen to lock it: it stays put through every flip that follows while the rest keeps changing. INTENSITY sets how far each flip strays from the original, from a few swapped beats to a full rebuild. MOVEMENT adds reverses, stutters, half-speed and gated slices, AGE the wear of an old record, TEXTURE a digital grain, and HOLD freezes the loop so the flip keeps playing on its own.

How does Riffle work exactly?
Every control, then the three steps.
- FLIP – A new arrangement of the unlocked slices, on the next slice. ‹ › go back and forth between flips.
- INTENSITY – How far the flip strays from the original: a few swaps on the same beat, up to a complete rebuild.
- LOCK – Click any slice on the screen to keep it in place through every flip.
- LENGTH / SLICES – 1, 2 or 4 bars cut into 4, 8, 16 or 32 slices, locked to your tempo.
- MOVEMENT – Reverse, stutter, half-speed and gate moves on some slices.
- AGE / TEXTURE – Old-record wear and crackle, or lower sample rate and bit depth.
- HOLD / ORIGINAL – Freeze the recorded loop, or compare with the untouched sound.
- Insert Riffle on a track playing a loop and press play.
- After one pass you hear the flip: press FLIP until you like it.
- Click the slices you want to keep, flip the rest, then add MOVEMENT, AGE or TEXTURE.

Does it stay in time with my song?
Yes. The slices follow your DAW's position to the sample, a new flip starts on the next slice, and it works when your DAW loops a region. With the transport stopped, Riffle keeps its own clock at the song tempo.
Do I need to load a sample into it?
No. Riffle works on the audio of the track it is on, a loop, a drum break or a vocal phrase, so you can flip anything you play in your DAW. Record the output to get a new sample.
Which formats and systems?
Mac: VST3 and AU on macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows: VST3 on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). AAX for Pro Tools is not available yet.
How does the licence work?
A licence key is emailed right after purchase. Paste it in the plugin (or in the free TuneDrip Hub for macOS and Windows, which on Windows also installs the plugin) and click Activate: one internet connection, then the plugin works offline. Each key activates up to 3 computers; write to info@tunedrip.com to reset them.
