Weld is the fast way to glue a mix or a master: pick one of six engines and turn AMOUNT. Inside, a compressor, a transient stage, a saturator, a tone shaper, a stereo stage, a clipper and a look-ahead limiter work together, and they adapt to the level of your track: the same setting does the same job on a quiet stem or a hot master.
CONTAIN holds the output peaks at the input peak level, so Weld makes the track denser and louder without a single extra dB of peak; BOOST fills the space up to that ceiling. When you want more than one knob, PEAKS, CURVE, ATTACK, RELEASE, LOW, HIGH and WIDTH reshape each engine, with the real transfer curve, timing and tone drawn on screen. MATCH plays the result at the input loudness for an honest comparison, DELTA lets you hear only what Weld adds.
How does Weld work exactly?
Every control, then the three steps.
- ENGINES – Glue, Snap, Warm, Air, Wide and Loud: six multi-process chains, each with its own compression, saturation, tone and width.
- AMOUNT – How hard the engine works, from 0 (transparent) to 125 %.
- CONTAIN – Holds the output peaks at the input peak level (100 %), or lets them rise up to 6 dB above (0 % = only 0 dBFS).
- BOOST – Fills the room under the ceiling: louder at the same peak level.
- PEAKS / CURVE – Compression ratio and knee, drawn as the real transfer curve.
- ATTACK / RELEASE – Engine timings from 25 to 400 %.
- COLOR LOW / HIGH – Low and high shelves, up to 6 dB each way.
- WIDTH / PARALLEL – Stereo width (the low end stays centred above 100 %) and dry blend.
- Insert Weld on your mix bus, a drum bus or the master.
- Choose an engine and turn AMOUNT until everything sits together.
- Raise BOOST for loudness, press MATCH to compare at equal loudness, then fine-tune PEAKS, ATTACK, RELEASE, LOW, HIGH and WIDTH.

Will it make my peaks louder?
No. With CONTAIN at 100 % the output never peaks above the input: the look-ahead limiter guarantees it, sample by sample. The gain you hear comes from density, not from higher peaks.
Does it work the same on quiet and loud material?
Yes. Every stage is measured against the level of your track, so the same preset does the same job at -15 or -3 dBFS.
Which formats and systems?
Mac: VST3 and AU on macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows: VST3 on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). AAX for Pro Tools is not available yet.
How does the licence work?
A licence key is emailed right after purchase. Paste it in the plugin (or in the free TuneDrip Hub for macOS and Windows, which on Windows also installs the plugin) and click Activate: one internet connection, then the plugin works offline. Each key activates up to 3 computers; write to info@tunedrip.com to reset them.
