Smooth listens to the spectrum continuously, finds the narrow peaks that stick out above the overall tonal balance, and cuts them only while they last: sibilance, a harsh cymbal, a muddy low-mid, a note that pokes out, the proximity effect of a close mic. No static EQ to draw by hand.
Three knobs run it: SELECTIVITY decides how far a band must stick out to count, DEPTH how much of the excess is removed, SHARPNESS how narrow the cuts are, from octave-wide bells to 1/12-octave notches. Soft mode is transparent and measured against the moving spectral envelope; Hard mode grabs faster, like a compressor, and doubles as an effect.
DELTA plays only what is being removed. Up to four focus bands drawn on the analyzer weight the reduction from zero to double, an external sidechain lets a bass give way to the kick or a pad clear the vocal, and Mid, Side or Mid + Side processing keeps the image where it is.

It can be: limit the processing to a high range from the menu and add a focus band around 6.5 kHz. The Vocal Sibilance preset does exactly that.
Yes. With SC on, the analysis listens to the plugin's second input and the reduction is applied to the track.
No. Optional 2x or 4x oversampling refines the spectral grid for smoother notches at the cost of CPU, and the latency is reported to the host and compensated automatically.

A licence key is emailed right after purchase.
