Quaver synthesizes the 808 bass from the ground up: a sine with an initial pitch drop, second and third harmonics you can add, a soft-clipping drive, a sub sine one octave below, a short noise click for the attack, a tone filter and a long-decay envelope.
Legato mode is on by default: play the next note while the previous one is held and the pitch glides at the GLIDE time without retriggering, which is the drill slide. Mono retriggers, Poly gives eight voices for chords.

How does Quaver work exactly?
Every control, then the three steps.
- GLIDE – Portamento time, 0 to 2000 ms.
- DRIVE – Soft saturation that makes the 808 audible on small speakers.
- SUB – Level of the sine one octave below.
- DECAY – Note length, 0.15 to 6 s; the note dies by itself, 808 style.
- PITCH DROP / TIME – How far above the note the boom starts and how fast it falls.
- PUNCH – Noise click at the attack.
- Load Quaver on an instrument track and play between C1 and C3.
- Pick a genre, then set DRIVE, SUB and DECAY.
- For the drill slide: Legato, GLIDE 150 to 300 ms, long DECAY, overlap the notes.

Can it do a kick?
Yes. DECAY around 10 %, Pitch drop 24 to 36 semitones, Pitch time 20 ms and PUNCH high gives a kick-like 808.
Does it use samples?
No. Every 808 is synthesized in real time, so pitch, slide and decay follow what you play.
Which formats and systems?
Mac: VST3 and AU on macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows: VST3 on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). AAX for Pro Tools is not available yet.
How does the licence work?
A licence key is emailed right after purchase. Paste it in the plugin (or in the TuneDrip Hub) and click Activate: one internet connection, then the plugin works offline. Each key activates up to 3 computers; write to info@tunedrip.com to reset them.
