It Listens to the Kick, Measures the Bass, and Locks the Low End.
When the kick and the bass are slightly out of time or out of phase, they cancel each other and the low end gets thinner exactly when the kick hits. Put Lock on the bass, send the kick to its sidechain and play: it listens, measures the offset and the polarity, then locks a precise fractional delay so both add up.
A phase rotation lets you fine-tune the sub by ear, ORIGINAL compares with the untouched track, and SUM lets you hear bass and kick together. No sidechain? Shift and flip the bass by hand in Manual mode.

How does Lock work exactly?
Every control, then the three steps.
- AUTO / MANUAL – Measure and lock by itself, or set shift and polarity by hand.
- LISTEN – How long Lock listens before it locks: 1 to 8 seconds.
- LEARN – Listen again when the part changes.
- SHIFT – Moves the bass up to 5 ms earlier or later, with sub-sample precision.
- ROTATION – Rotates the phase of the low end around FOCUS without moving the transient.
- LOW BAND – The band where kick and bass are compared.
- Insert Lock on the bass, sub or 808 and route the kick to its sidechain input.
- Play a passage where kick and bass play together until the screen says LOCKED.
- Compare with ORIGINAL, fine-tune with ROTATION, press LEARN if the part changes.

Does it work without a sidechain?
Yes, in Manual mode: shift, polarity and rotation by hand. The automatic lock needs the kick on the sidechain input.
Is there latency?
A fixed 5 ms, reported to your DAW and compensated automatically. It lets Lock move the bass earlier as well as later.
Which formats and systems?
Mac: VST3 and AU on macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows: VST3 on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). AAX for Pro Tools is not available yet.
How does the licence work?
A licence key is emailed right after purchase. Paste it in the plugin (or in the free TuneDrip Hub for macOS and Windows, which on Windows also installs the plugin) and click Activate: one internet connection, then the plugin works offline. Each key activates up to 3 computers; write to info@tunedrip.com to reset them.
